Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Repeated complete or partial airway obstructions, or apneas, while you sleep, describes Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Nearly 1 in 3 Canadians are considered to be at moderate to high risk for sleep apnea, a common yet largely undiagnosed sleep disorder.1
Rebel Sleep Institute, and affiliates, are leaders in the provision of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT), and other evidence-based therapies for the treatment and ongoing management of OSA.
CPAP is the most prescribed and effective treatment for OSA, however, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to managing OSA. Rebel Sleep Institute employs a patient-centred approach, working with you, your physician, and independent medical consultation, to determine the most suitable treatment program.
Obstructive Sleep Apnea Testing
In select provinces, including but not limited to Alberta and British Columbia, Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) may be used to confirm or rule out an Obstructive Sleep Apnea Diagnosis in adults. In some cases, a referral to an overnight sleep lab (Level 1) may be required.
Every HSAT study conducted at Rebel Sleep Institute is interpreted by a qualified, independent sleep specialist.
